If you come across obstacles on life’s path, I will walk alongside you – offering a listening stride and collaborative conversation to help navigate the course.  I appreciate what the very young to the very experienced with life bring to their understanding of the journey. I look for strengths in each individual person and assist in moving toward goals.

My background in teaching, being a parent, interacting with newer Canadians and people who live with various challenges helps me appreciate diversity and each person’s uniqueness at the same time. Therapeutic approaches used (attachment, solution-focused, motivational, play/theraplay techniques are some) is guided by the best match to a person’s goals.

In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, I am a registered social worker with a Master’s Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. My professional development includes training in New Pathways for Families, Theraplay, trauma, hospice, restorative practices, poverty and resiliency.  My volunteer time includes co-facilitating an ESL conversation group and spending time with a person who has recently arrived to Canada.

I currently serve on the local board of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I am always looking for opportunities to increase my knowledge and skills, especially in child development and parent-child relationships.
