Sometimes life throws us a curve and we find ourselves overwhelmed with intense emotions, feeling lost and helpless. During such times we need an objective, non-judgmental perspective, and strategies to overcome our distress, in a safe and understanding environment. I have a strong interest in people’s well-being and work with clients, side-by-side, on their journey to regaining control, to personal healing and fulfillment. I offer compassion, warmth, sincerity and authenticity, and encouragement to help clients find their inner strength and to achieve their individual goals. I am a strong believer that change comes from within, and practice a strength-based approach to counselling. Above all, it is very important that my clients know that I am listening!!

I offer experience with a broad range psychological issues, including trauma, addiction, anxiety, stress, relationships, depression, low self-esteem, conflict resolution, and other life-related obstacles. I am formally trained and experienced in Emotion-Focused Therapy for Complex Trauma, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. However, regardless of the problem(s) the client is faced with, and the treatment modalities I provide, I truly believe that the basis for a successful therapy lies in the mutual trust and respect, openness and honesty between client and counsellor.
